As always, we’ve been diligently curating reactive PR content, and today, we are excited to share our latest triumphs and the inspiring news stories behind them.

So, fasten your seatbelts as we embark on this exciting journey!

Environment

Sadly, climate change is a constant topic in the news – posing a very serious threat to both ourselves and our planet. Just recently, Death Valley in the US recorded its highest temperature ever – measuring at a staggering 128F (53.3C). This has almost superseded the hottest temperature ever recorded on earth, and shows a worrying pattern as summers become hotter and hotter.

Here in the UK, we’ve also seen a series of heatwaves over the past couple of months that have come with Met Office health warnings. It’s safe to say that climate change is having severe impacts across the globe.

One of our clients has recently launched a campaign revealing what popular tourist destinations around the world could look like by 2050 as a result of climate change. The results are truly shocking. This week, we kicked off the campaign with some fantastic coverage in a series of publications. We’re off to a great start with this campaign, providing the opportunity to highlight just how dangerous climate change is on a global scale.

Health

Sleep is another evergreen subject in the news – with many sadly struggling to get a good night’s rest. For us, as humans, sleep is one of the most important factors to maintaining our health. From helping us to de-stress after a long day, to physically allowing our muscles to repair overnight – there are a lot of health-related reasons to get a full 8-hours every night.

However, there are a wide variety of sleep disorders that can make this impossible for some people, impacting their ability to sleep and causing a significant amount of knock-on effects due to sleep deprivation.

To explore this topic further, our digital PR healthcare client has recently launched a campaign investigating the number of people in the UK receiving treatment for sleep disorders. This week, we have secured some amazing coverage for our client – helping to raise awareness about how common these disorders are.

Heatwave

Summer is still far from over, and temperatures are still set to continue rising throughout the next month. The topic of heatwaves and their potential health implications are still very prevalent in the news, offering a lot of opportunities to build brand awareness for your clients by offering expert commentary on the subject.

That is exactly what we were able to do successfully this week – providing expert comments from our client on the potential dangers of heatwaves for the elderly population. Unfortunately, while many of us might feel grateful for the warmer weather in the UK, there are some serious health concerns associated with rising temperatures when it comes to older people.

From the risk of dehydration, to difficulty maintaining body temperature, it’s very important that older generations are taking extra precautions in the heat to keep themselves safe.

To conclude…

As we draw the curtains on another eventful week in the news, we sincerely hope you found these examples insightful and inspiring for your own PR endeavours. The glimpse into our methods of securing coverage for our clients aims to empower you in crafting successful PR strategies. Be sure to join us again next week, as we unveil more real-world instances of how reactive PR continues to elevate brand awareness.

Wishing you a delightful weekend ahead! Until then, stay inspired and keep shining in the world of PR.
